Case Studies
Case Study One: Business Loans
Recharge Rescue
Recharge Rescue are a fast growing company. As the name implies, it’s an emergency service for Electric Vehicles that have run out of charge; as the number of fully electric vehicles in the UK now exceeds 1M and with an additional 600K Hybrid Vehicles, the need for roadside support is increasing rapidly.
The cost for each vehicle purchase is matched with a similar cost for the vehicle fit out, which is where a business loan comes in. Each van has a Motorway Style fast charging facility and a sophisticated fuel drainage system plus lots of other items required for roadside emergency.
We can offer this type loan on both Hard and Soft Assets; the difference being Hard Assets are fixed, eg a car wash, while Soft Assets are portable, eg computers and furniture.

Case Study Two: Refinancing Balloon Payments
With year + waiting times for new cars and strong used car values, people are happy to refinance their current car rather than hand it back or change it – it’s very easy to do and why not continue to enjoy what you have until the time is right for a change.
Below are images of just a couple of the car Balloon refinances we have carried out this year. If you are considering this option, all we need is a settlement letter, copy of page 2 of the log book and the current mileage. Easy!
Case Study Three: Company Car Purchase with Directors' Indemnity
We’ve done a lot of this type of financing but for different reasons. It can be because the vehicle is for business use and the business wants to claim back the VAT, or another reason could be that it’s a company car for the director, or in my latest case the company has a better credit rating than its owner or director.
With any of these scenarios it’s a good idea to involve your accountant.
Below is my favourite company purchased car of 2023.
Case Study Four: Commercial Mortgage / Site Advance to fund Stage 2 of Property Build
Property developers come in all different sizes and this particular developer specialises in small developments of between 2-5 properties, mainly built in Oxfordshire. He contacted me to fund the second stage of the build – he had bought the land and built the footings and he needed the first lender, who funded the first stage, paid off and the second stage of the build funded. This was worked on by my colleague Mark who had an offer on the table within 3 days.
